Feng Shui Bedroom Design
The Feng Shui bedroom has great ‘Chi’ energy. This is the mystical energy of our universe which can change our lives even while we sleep. however ‘Chi’ can be blocked from our bedrooms affecting our health and good fortune and especially our relationships with others.
1. The design blueprint has a lot to say about colours. One colour that is never to be used in the bedroom is the colour red. It is a a colour that has benefits in other situations however it is a colour that is about energy and activity and does not work in an area for rest and recovery. Soft pastels are more the go but do avoid red.
2. We all like to have a few books in our bedroom however the book collection alongside the bed is another arousal symbol and does not give the best “chi” for restful sleep. Nothing wrong with a book alongside but for the best Feng Shui bedroom let’s get rid of that small library alongside your bed.
3 Mirrors in a darkened hallway can be used to expand energy and give life to the area however a mirror in the bedroom where we want rest and recovery is a problem especially if the mirror faces the bed and reflects the image of the occupant for that creates an energy expansion good for living areas that are darkened but not good for the bedroom.
4 In Feng Shui our wealth and good fortune can be connected to fountains of flowing water and many feng shui house designs use them with amazing results. However in an attached bedroom bathroom called the ‘ensuite’ we have a problem because this area represents elimination and still water. These two symbols cause a drain on your wealth and fortune and while of course we cannnot remove the room we must keep the door closed and the toilet seat cover down.
