Cold Sore Lysine - How And Why It Works

Cold sore lysine - is it the miracle cure for cold sores that many claim? Find out the truth. Get the latest research facts, right now, about cold sore lysine remedies for herpes sores.

Cold sore lysine treatment has been in the news a lot in recent years. Studies continue to show it to be very helpful for relief of these persistent sores. But many people who write about lysine do not know how it actually works.

FACT: Cold sores are quelled by lysine similar to a fire being quenched by water.

Water puts out a fire by starving it of the oxygen it needs to burn. Lysine works in a similar way - it represses cold sores by depriving the herpes virus of what it must have to create the sore.

Right now, we need to take a look at what really causes cold sores and how lysine can literally stop them in their tracks.

When the herpes simplex virus becomes active, it infects nerve cells on the surface and forces them to make copies of the virus. Once full, the cells are annihilated to free the new virus.

The painful, unsightly sores on your face are the result of the destruction of thousands of close-together body cells by the herpes simplex virus.

FACT: Arginine is the main nutrient that feeds the herpes fire.

Protein is what the herpes virus is made of. To create new viruses, your cells need arginine as the main ingredient. Without it, virus replication is impossible.

Arginine and lysine are considered essential amino acids. Your body cannot create these. They are essential for your health and must come from your diet. Each amino acid has a specific function in the body.

Your cells have special receptors that store arginine for various purposes. A cell that is invaded by herpes and is forced to make clones will use up this arginine in the process. New herpes virus cannot be built without arginine.

FACT: Lysine extinguishes the fire of cold sores by preventing arginine from reaching it.

Your cells warehouse lysine too. And it does so in the same storage space as arginine. Since arginine and lysine compete for the same storage area, the more lysine you eat and make available to your cells, the less arginine will be available for virus creation.

Lysine does not support the creation of the herpes virus. And it keeps the arginine from being available for virus replication by replacing it in the storage area of the cells.

FACT: Lysine is only available to the cells if taken orally.

The best way to flood your cells with cold sore lysine is by eating high lysine foods. Dairy products, meats, and fish are excellent sources of this amino acid.

Lysine capsules, although not as well absorbed, are much more convenient for many people. A special diet is often hard to keep, especially with your busy schedule. But, it would be best to combine dietary sources with these supplements.

Do not sucker for lysine as a topical treatment for cold sores. These remedies may have other ingredients that can help relieve these painful sores. But lysine put directly on the sore area is of little or no use.

Lysine is a large molecule and is not able to be absorbed readily through the skin. Putting it on the skin, or on the sore, will be of no help. It cannot get through the skin to prevent the sore and, once it becomes an open ulcer, the damage is done.

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT - lysine is great for extinguishing, and preventing, cold sores. But keep in mind that lysine only works when it gets into the cells. This can only happen when it is taken by mouth and absorbed internally from food and supplements.

Lysine is perfectly safe. It is just a protein fraction. Commonly, lysine supplements are taken in doses up to 4000 mg. per day during the outbreak. Some folks also take 500 to 1000 mg. daily to prevent cold sores.

Eating more of the high lysine foods and less of the high arginine foods may be all you need to beat these hideous sores. Supplementing your diet with lysine pills may be the easiest way of getting the highest levels needed for a cold sore lysine cure.

Preparing Your For-sale-by-owner For A Quick Sale

In the slow real estate market we are going through, you want to make your home look as good as possible to potential buyers. Always remember that as buyers walk around you home, they are thinking whether they could see themselves living in a house like yours.

For instance, if the house smells bad, the buyer see it as a clue to think that the house hasn’t been maintained properly. If the bathrooms are not clean, buyers won’t be able to picture themselves living in that house; specially, if they visit five different houses after seeing yours.

In this article, you will learn about a few techniques you can use to make your home look great. Most of these techniques can be implemented quickly and with little money. Make a budget of how much money you have available and start making those needed changes right away.

To give yourself a better chance, show your house during daylight whenever possible. Also, turn on all the lights in the house even if you are showing the house during the day. Change the lighting in your house with 100-watts light bulbs. Tests have proven that houses with a lot of light are preferred by home buyers.

If you have a front lawn, cut and trim the grass. Also, make sure you clean it from things that shouldn’t be there. If the paint in the outside of the house looks old, give it a new coat of paint if you can afford it. If you can’t afford it, paint the front door and the windows trims.

Buy quality bold street numbers to help buyers find your home. Replace the mailbox and doormat if needed with new ones. Remember that you have only one chance to make a first good impression. These changes don’t cost much and give a more upscale look to your house.

Inside, clean the floors and the carpet. If the carpet is very dirty, hire a professional to clean it or rent a carpet cleaning machine at a supermarket. You may not want to get a new carpet because the new carpet may not be the color that the buyers want to have.

If the room walls are dirty, paint them. Before doing so, make sure that just washing the stains off isn’t enough.

Next, go over every room in your house and make sure it is clean, tidy and unclogged. Pay special attention to the bathrooms. After you finish cleaning, place a few candles around your house and light them up before your appointments. Whenever you can, buy a few natural or artificial flowers to place them in the most visible areas around you house.

You can also upgrade your house with very little money by changing doorknobs, electrical outlets and light switches. They help differentiate your house from every other house.

Finally, after you think you are ready getting your home ready to start showing it off, ask yourself whether this is a house you would really like to live in. It is important that you ask this question honestly because is the same question your potential buyers will be asking themselves as they see your house. If the answer is negative, keep making changes until you are comfortable with the overall look of the house.

Save Time And Energy With A Log Splitter

Using the mallet and wedge to spilt logs is no longer the best way to collect fire wood. This is an extremely time consuming and tedious job that you don’t have to perform anymore. Spend more time being warmed by the fireplace than finding wood to fill it. Get a log splitter and take the challenge out of log splitting.

There are a few things you should think about when choosing a log splitter. The first thing that you wan to take into account is ton size. Log splitters for personal usage run between 2-5 tons. The ton capacity also influences the horsepower that the engine has. You should ask yourself how often you will be splitting wood. If you will be using the splitter on a regular basis for years to come, you should look at the ones that have stronger engines. Weaker engines will die out after a few hundred logs.

Whether you are splitting logs for commercial or personal use is the first thing to consider. Once you answer that question you will be able to determine what horsepower you should use.

Log splitters obviously split logs but this is not their only quality. They can also perform other tasks. For example, they can be used in the initial steps of wood planking or when logs are being prepped for paper making. Forestry suppliers use them to transport trees and prep it for different purposes. They also help cut down on the time that it takes to turn trees into various other items.

A hydraulic log splitter is a wonderful addition to any workshop. It can be used to make log furniture, creating the much sought after rustic look. A machine is also much safer than splitting wood yourself.

The price of log splitters ranges greatly. Depending on the quality and standard you are looking for, you could spend anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. When deciding on a quality and price level, take into account the amount of usage you want to get out of the equipment. If you are just searching for a way to reduce those hours you spend splitting logs for the fireplace, go with a lower priced one. If the price of the splitter is the only deterrent, think of things in these terms: Splitting ten logs an hour with a hammer and mallet means that you will be splitting logs for several hours during the winter. However, if you have a four ton log splitter you will be able to split one hundred logs an hour. Imagine what you can do with all of the free time you will have if you use a log splitter? Spend a little money and save a lot of time and effort.
